About Matoaca Child Development Center
Our child development center offers care for children ages 2 years through 12 years old! We have been ministering to families in the area since 1993. We believe that every child is wonderfully made by our Creator and we seek to help them grow through exploration, creative play, and in relationship with friends and Jesus! We provide a safe environment where we know your child will grow mentally, emotionally, physically, socially & spiritually.
About Our Director
Ashley Sessums has been a part of the Matoaca Baptist Church staff since 2007. At her time here she has served as; Director of Children, Director of Youth, as well as serving on the Matoaca Child Development Center Committee. Mrs. Ashley graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University and is a Certified Athletic Trainer. She also holds a Master of Arts in Children's Ministry from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. Mrs. Ashley loves working with kids of all ages, teaching them about Jesus and His love for them. As of March 2019, Mrs. Ashley was selected to serve as the Director of Matoaca Child Development Center. She is invested in making Matoaca Child Development Center a place you can call home, and looks forward to meeting new families every day!
About Our Staff
Here at Matoaca Child Development Center we strive to assure parents they are leaving kids in the care of qualified adults. To meet those needs we require on-going training for our staff through state classes, orientation videos, in-house training, and other certified professionals in the education field. All of our staff is trained in First Aid and CPR. Our staff also all shares the same love of seeing children reach there full potential, providing a warm, safe and loving environment for them making Matoaca Child Development Center a home away from home.
